OK, I wasn't really dragged, it was my idea, lemme explain.... Sometime in March, my brother Jariah called and said we should all move to Columbus(2 hours away) so the guys could get better jobs. I said that's a great idea, but lets go to Tucson(36 hours away) instead!! (Zion's been wanting to for years.) Everything worked out really fast, so two months later, we were on our way!

Israel, I've noticed that the first thing you ever notice about someone is the color of their skin. This troubles me. Dr. King always taught us that character, not color, was what we should be looking for in people.
I agree with Israel (for a change). Is IS about time to get some pigment in this gene pool. I've been patiently waiting for a new little one, paleface or not.

Plus, how can I not notice when the visages in that photograph are so blindingly pale that my rods and cones still haven't recovered??
If those genes aren't crying out for pigmentation, I don't know whose are.
You will find that melanin is a good thing to have especially in Arizona. I'm surprised those poor, pigment-deprived folks didn't burst into flames the second they were exposed to sunlight.
And if Dr. (Rodney) King taught us anything, it's that color matters a lot, especially when you're running from the cops.
Your hair is very dark, or was 6 years ago anyway, but I actually wouldn't know that you or Josh or Sam are Mexican if it weren't for your name. Zion looks Hispanic, but the rest of you that I've met could be Italians for I all could tell. After Zion had been here for a winter, he wasn't so dark and beautiful either.

Yes we are a freakish lot. Zion and I probably look more typically "Mexican" although in Puerto Rico people thought I was more Puerto Rican than Mexican.
Danny is the Native American, Sam is italian and Josh is who knows what (Slovak maybe.) People used to ask my mom if Josh was hers all the time, because his hair was platinum blonde when he was a little tyke.
With my family you're just rolling the genetic dice. My cousin Hurold is a Howdy Doody look-a-like with red hair and freckles, we also have blue-eyed blondes and some folks with obviously black genes in the family.
My skin is so glaring white I have resorted to using the tan in a bottle stuff. I used it on my legs yesterday cause we were meeting (Aunt) Barb and (Uncle) Vic at the Darke County Fair last night. I've noticed it gets real dark and splotchy around my ankles so this time I avoided my ankles completely. I had white stripes. It looked ridiculous. You Mexicans don't know how good you've got it.
By the way, Aunt Barb does read this a good bit. She along with everyone else thinks Israel and John are lots of fun. :)
It was great! Wish you could have been there, but it was just supposed to be Vic and Barb and Gary and I. BUT... The coolest thing happened, we were only walking around for less than an hour when we ran into Aunt Deb!! So it was great, she joined our party and then we met up with Steve and Melinda and Gracie and we all spent the whole evening together. I gave Aunt Deb this addy so she might start blogging too. They were all asking how hot it has been out there and how you guys were doing. Aunt Barb said "Shanny's not liking it!"
My Grandma (on my mom's side) played an Indian woman in a John Wayne Movie which they made at old Tucson.
She has light skin so they painted her brown. As an extra, she saif she had to pretend to draw water from a well over and over all day long. She said it was hot and it was the hardest work she ever had to do.

I think that I pulled of the Indian look very nicely. I even had my hair done in two braids that day!

Some girl in a resturant in Indiana thought I was Christian Laettner once. Course, this was shortly after he had been drafted by Minnesota in 1992.
