I can't catch a break. I think that Karen Kingsbury just beat me to the writing of my book. I was just looking at her website to see when the next book in the "Firstborn" Series will be out, and I stumbled upon a new novel called "Divine". My life is officially annoying.

Yeah and Albert Einstein beat me to discovering the theory of relativity.

That Nobel Prize was mine, I tell you.

Sorry about that Pulitzer Prize, Shan.

Jeshanah said...

True that. I'm still writing it, I'm just bummed that mine won't be the first one now.

Not the first what? I missed it. Your book was going to be titled "Divine"?

Sharla said...

Congrats to Zion and Jariah! I heard they both got jobs today :)

Hully said...

Jobs? Where? Details, por favor...

Jeshanah said...

No no no, my book wasn't gonna be CALLED "Divine", it just sounds like sort of the same storyline as mine's going to be.

Here's the teaser from her website:

" Emma Randall is a single mother fleeing an abusive relationship, wondering whether there is hope for her and her young daughters. She is desperate, broken, and unloved, tempted to commit the unthinkable. Then Mary Madison introduces Emma to the greatest love of all, greater than any either of them has ever imagined."

Not exactly what my novel is about, but close enough to make me nervous about it.

Shan

You are such an adorable riot.

Hully said...

"Adorable riot?"

Well... one out of two ain't bad.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy!!! Zion got a job!!

The guys got jobs at Tucson Electric Power. They had applied there when we first moved here and they got a call two days ago saying they have two positions available. Worked out great, Jariah will only have gone a week without work.

Congrats to both of you. I hope it works out well. And hey, when you get the whole electricity thing figured out, you can come back and show AEP how to set up a proper grid.

Jeshanah: Speaking of literary robberies I was going to write the following semiautobiographical blockbuster movie scripts but someone read my brain waves and beat me to it.

1) Shrek 2
2) Guess who's coming to dinner (Kutchner Version)
3) Meet the Fokkers
4) Monster in Law (with a male lead)

At least two fo those movies were hugely successful and I demand my cut!

Jeshanah said...

Wow, just think, if you had actually written them first, you could have been rich!

Jeshanah said...

Also, I get the autobiographical thing for three of the movies... but are you saying you're now a disgusting, green, ogre? How did that happen?? I think THAT'S your story, right there!!

Israel said...

Yes compared to my beautiful Princess of a wife I am a disgusting brown ogre.

Watch that movie remove the magical elements and you'll know the story of our courtship.

My life has been officially annoying for quite some time now and I haven't been able to capitalize on it yet, but I'm working on it.

I forgot "Meet The Parents" the highest grossing comedy of all time.

What is the unthinkable? Marrying a Republican?

Israel said...

If you can think it is it really "unthinkable?"

Andf what is the "greatest love of all" isn't that a song by Whitney Houston?

Sharla said...

That's sad if he really doesn't know the "greatest love of all".

Sharla said...

Good point about the "unthinkable" though

Sharla said...

John and Jess and Zion and Jeshanah and Jariah and Becca and Gary and I have all married republicans! Shocking isn't it?

Hully said...

I thought about marrying a democrat once a long time ago.

But then the drugs wore off.

(The above was all made up purely for the purposes of humor.)

The anti-psychotic drugs wore off, huh John? Bummer...

And I truly believe it's OK for Republicans (except for log cabin ones) to marry as long as they don't procreate.

The whole procreation thing is one of the things that we republicans do best! ;)

Israel said...

Gross!

Israel said...

to paraphrase Jeshanah:

Eeeeeeeewwwwwwww!! Republicans are weird!!

< rolls eyes >

(what's with the eye rolling? Is she possessed by demons or something?)

Jeshanah said...

Eye rolling is a way to express your disdain for whatever nuisance is currently causing you annoyance.

Sharla said...

Shan

Exactly.

Sharla said...

Israel

Posessed by demons? "rolls eyes"

Aww, Food poisoning? Or some kind of stomach flu?
