Okay, so nothing much is going on... (what else is new?).... but I thought I should post something controversial since John's blog is currently whipping me on number of posts we've recently received.... so....

Dogs are better than cats...
Redvines taste better than Twizzlers....
Rocky Road is the best flavor of ice cream....
The right way to pronounce it is "suposebly"....
Christmas is the best holiday....
Plum is the prettiest color...
Apples are the best kind of fruit...
Ohio is the best state... (that's why they call it "the heart of it all")
Blogger is better than Xanga...
Blonds really do have more fun...
Tall people are the cooler than short...
Horseback riding is the most fun outdoor activity there is...
Baseball games are more fun to watch than basketball...

Okay, surely in this long list of things, you'll be able to find something controversial enough to merit talking about!! At least a little. My poor blog is losing so bad right now and it makes me soooo soooo sad!!! =:::::::(

hahahah.... happy posting people. =)

If you ever want to see something funny, give a 2 year old a small piece of those Listerine breath strips. Haha, they make some pretty cute little gagging faces and sounds...

Alright, my 2 year old nephew is such a smart alec!! We were all just discussing how he always says, "I love you." whenever he is being punished for throwing food, ect... and he tells his mommy or daddy, "I love you!", no doubt trying to get a lesser punishment.

Well, Zion claims that what his is really saying is, "I loath you!", but Becca said there is no way that could be true because sometimes he says it to her in French. I looked at him, and asked him, "Brandon, how do you say I love you in French?" His answer: "I love you in French."

I almost choked on my pop!!! LOL
So... what ever happened to the ugachaka baby??
Does anyone else think that the new long and skinny cookies from Keebler look a little pointless? (They claim that that way they can reach the milk better, but, hello, once you take a bite they are back to the same size as an oreo?!!)

Okay, so, that was random, right?
This should generate some interesting comments...

George Bush and all the Republicans want your money!! Don't forget to do your taxes, they were due today, but since it's the weekend they MUST be in the mail by Tuesday!!! (Oh, yeah, the Democrats will probably take some of it too...)

Happy 7th Birthday to the best niece a girl could get!!!!

I will never forget the day you were born, I was working as a waitress at Ponderosa Steakhouse and I was trying my best to get my work done. I was so excited because I knew that my big sister was at the hospital to have her baby. They finally just let me go home because I kept dropping stuff and telling all the customers that, "I'm going to be an aunt today... I might even be one already!!" (If only I had known then that I was going to go sit at the hospital for 6 or so hours before you would finally make your appearance at 8:15.... I might have calmed down enough to stay at work!!!!)

When you were finally here, Grandma and I were out in the hallway listening to you cry, waiting for our first glimpse of you. After about an hour of standing in the hall hearing you, your Aunt Jeannie came out of the room you were in with a video camera so we could at least see your picture.

FINALLY, about 15 minutes later, they let you and your Mommy and Daddy come out, and we all got to meet you. (Grandma, Papa, Uncle Justin, Uncle Heepie, Nanny, and Uncle Zion... I think Becka Y. was there, too!)

The next day, I was really excited about you being right there in the hospital, and I actually woke up at like 6:00 a.m., got ready and drove the the hospital to see you before I had to go to work. (I didn't have to be to work until 11:00!) Just hearing about me getting up that early without actually having to, should really tell you something about how much I love you. =) I am very proud to be your aunt, Ness. I love you so much!! It has been awesome watching you grow up so far!!

I'm sick.... again. I have another cold. I don't know what's up with this, but this is my 4th cold since moving to Arizona. It's weird. I used to only get a cold about once a year. Since moving, I have lost my voice completely, two times. I am on my way to having that happen again, and I don't know what to do to prevent it. =(

I'm going to Ohio for
Family Camp!!!!!!
Zion bought a ticket for me last Thursday, and I have been working since then (and a little before) on the kids Activities Schedule!! I'm the 'Kids Activities Director',(or something like that...) meaning I have to plan all the games to entertain all the kids ages 4-12 at camp for an hour each day.
Here's what I've come up with for this year so far. If you have any other ideas or suggestions, please let me know!!!

Ages 4&5

Day 1: Relay Races Day 2: Olympics Day 3: Sidewalk Games
Day 4: Scavenger Hunt

Ages 6-8

Day 1: Soccer Day 2: Scavenger Hunt Day 3: Relay Races
Day 4: Kickball

Ages 9-12

Day 1: Kickball Day 2: Soccer Day 3: Scavenger Hunt
Day 4: Relay Races

Relay Race Ideas
(Divide into two teams to start)

*Balloon Popping Race*
>Have the kids run from point A to a chair (point b) place a balloon on the chair for them to sit on, they must pop the balloon then run back to point A before the next child takes a turn. (You might have to help some of the smaller children pop their balloons…)

*Marshmallow Spoon Race*
>Use a cone to represent a start/finish line, then have one child from each team run to another cone carrying a spoon while balancing the marshmallow on it. Winner is the first team to finish.

*Clothes Relay Race*
>Place two boxes with equal number of articles of clothing on one end of the play area. The first child runs from point A to the box, chooses one article of clothing and puts it on. The runner then runs back to the next person in line and the next person puts on that item, then goes to back to the box and adds an item to his ensemble, this continues until all items are out of the box or time is up. (You might have to do this one several times so that each child gets a chance.)

*Potato Sack Races*
>This is pretty self explanatory, if you don’t know what this is, you need to move out of the cave you’ve clearly been living in. =) haha thanks for all your help!!!

*3-legged Races*

*Hula Hoop Rolling*
>Have each child take a turn running from point A to point B while rolling a hula hoop. If they lose control of the hoop, they have to go back to the point where they lost it. First team to have all the kids done running wins.

*Run Full Out Race*

*Hopping Race*

*Skipping Race*

*Running Backwards Race*

This one’s not really a race, but a fun thing to do that I think all the kids will love….

*Marshmallow Tree*
>Kids must eat as much of the marshmallow as they can without it falling off the string that it is attached to, without using their hands. Whoever gets their marshmallow the smallest without it falling is the winner.

On the Scavenger Hunt Days, there will also be a water balloon toss/ fight.

The 4&5 year olds 'Olympic Day' will basically consist of:

*Hula Hoops*
Have kids jump through them…
Have the kids roll them in a race…
Have the kids throw balls or beanbags through them…
Have the kids skip through them while they are lying on the ground like Olympic rings...

*Jump Ropes*
Have the kids jump rope…
Hold some at different heights and have kids go over and under them…
Lay them in crazy figures on the ground and have kids race in crazy figures…

*Bean Bags*
Who tosses the furthest?

*Cones*
Kick ball through cones…
Lay cones in figure and have kids kick ball around it…

*Kick Ball*
Who can kick the furthest?

and their 'Sidewalk Day' will have stations:

Station #1) Have the kids draw any pictures they want to using sidewalk chalk...

Station #2) Using sidewalk chalk, cones and kickball- Make a 4-square game and let the kids play that…

Station #3) Using sidewalk chalk and small rock- Make a couple hopscotch games and let kids play that...

Station #4) Using sidewalk chalk- Make a 4-square with a circle in the middle and have the middle kid try to take one of the other kids squares as they all move around the boxes…

Kickball and Soccer are pretty self explanatory. =)

It was quite a blustery day, so I had to hold my hat!! I, of course, had on a hat... in my traditional Easter style. (I think I've only had one Easter Sunday without a hat and I had around 4 people come up to me and ask me where my hat was?! True, none of the people at my church now would have done that, because they wouldn't have known, but it just wouldn't have felt like Easter if I hadn't worn a hat...) =)Aren't they such a cute little family?!Brandon found some eggs on the couch behind Zion and I!! (He wasn't seeing them until I had him come give me a hug... then he wanted nothing to do with me as he climbed up behind me to get his gummy bear filled Easter egg!!) Found another one!! Brandon loves Easter!! He got 1 gummy bear in each of his 48 Easter eggs. He hasn't eaten them all yet, despite his best efforts!!!

Happy Easter. Hope everyone had a blessed day.

I was trying to get Keila's song to post on here, but we couldn't figure out how to do it. I don't know if she sang it today or not, but I went online and listened to it from 2005 earlier. It's just not Easter without hearing Keila sing her song... =)

If you want to hear what I am talking about, you can go to http://www.bcfellowship.org/archives_2005.html ... March 27th, Easter Sunday 2 years ago. It's the first thing on that sermon.

I love that song and it always makes me cry!

I'll post some Easter pictures tomorrow. =)

Yesterday, Zion took me Easter dress shopping! While it was really sweet of him, it turned out to be a futile experience without my very own personal shopper, Jess, along to help me find the perfect dress. I don't know how other people do it... but, I can't find a thing without Jess or at least my Mom with me!!

We went to Macy's and it was depressing because our Macy's isn't set up 'right' (meaning not like Lima's...) and I couldn't find a blasted thing, so I gave up and we came home.

Anyway, I decided to skip the dress and wear an outfit that I already own, but haven't worn before. I actually have a number of things that I haven't worn yet, because just before moving cross-country, I went on a bit of a clothes shopping spree with Jess and Mom and got tons of new clothes!!

Confession: I even had Jess help me make a little book filled with acceptable outfits since she wasn't going to be around for me to call every time I have to get ready for an event. (Even so, I have to called her a couple times and emailed pics of possible outfits for her approval before wearing them...) I actually like to shop, but I seem to only ever find the skirt or shoes part of an outfit, and I am terrible at putting one together!!!

There you go, now everyone will have something else to make fun of me about.(Why do I always insist on telling on myself?!?!) I need so much therapy!!

Floyd, if you are reading this, please comment!! Jariah said that he told you about my blog, and I keep getting someone from Florida on here, is it you?? If it is the least you can do is say hi!! (and if it's not, the least you can do is say hi and who you are!)

I did dishes today... how's that for a switch?!

Becca and I are now able to take turns with the dishes/ laundry duties because we have spent the past couple of weeks rearranging the hovel! Zion and I took over Brandon's room, and Brandon's toys have moved into what was our room. We also moved the couch that was in Brandon's playroom into our old bedroom, as well as left our love seat in that room, creating a second family room or a den if you will. (I might try and post some pictures on another day...)

Becca and I spent most of the day entering new items onto Love and Learn's website; I was on the phone with my mom much of the day getting the items from her.

Friday, we all went to the Potter's for dinner, they made us a fabulous fried chicken dinner complete with mashed potatoes, (or 'spuds' if you happen to be from Arkansas...) corn, green beans and for desert, a delicious chocolate cake with chocolate frosting a la mode (that's French meaning 'with style' which for me translates to with ice cream!!) It was so yummy!!!

After dinner, we spent some time with the Potter family (see church pictures below) just getting to know them a bit better, hanging out, looking at scrapbooks/pictures(always fun!) and fellowshipping together. It was a lot of fun and they are a very sweet little family.
