You've asked about names, here they are:
For a girl:
Liberty Anne Ramirez
For a boy:
Zane Thomas Ramirez
or
Leviticus Andrew Ramirez
The only problem we are having is that if this one's a boy and we choose Leviticus, (whom we would call Levi for short) and then next time we have a girl and name her Liberty, we'll have to have another "L" name for our 3rd child for a boy and girl! (We already know we want the name Liberty for a girl, that one's pretty much non-negotiable... so don't even try!) We do like the names Lincoln and Landon for a boy, and Larissa and Loralei (kinda... but it might be a little too "Gilmore Girls"....) for a girl.
If we do Zane and Liberty, then we would just need a name that sounds good with those but it doesn't have to start with "L" which one would think would make it easier.... but I'm at a complete loss. (It's possible that I am overthinking this....) I kind of like Honor for a girl, and I like Justice for a boy, but I can't very well have a Liberty, Justice and Honor! That's too much, even for me!!
Thoughts, comments, ideas? We don't want "normal" names, because, let's face it... we are Zion Jeru and Jeshanah! We can't name our kids names that are on the "Most Popular Names" lists!! I do want something pronouncable though, so that my kids in-laws know what their name is.

I vote for Zane Thomas if it's a boy!
Oh, I love to come up with names.
I have a bunch of "L names on a list. Landon is at the top of my list for a boy and Larissa is also on there for a girl.
Liberty is a pretty name and I really, really like Levi.
I like Zane too - we have a Zane and a Zachary in our family.
If you go with Liberty, Justice and Honor - you better have a fourth baby and name it Freedom.
Cyndi and I were holding out for Jeshuga for a girl and Hornsapple for a boy. She wanted you to send printed announcements (just to Israel of course) with one of those names, and we were all gonna go along with it for a year.
Way to post the names, party pooper!
Hornsapple Ramirez! That is one cool name!
Yeah, well, next time let me in on the secret! That would have been a good one, too!
3 is plenty! And I'm not gonna do those 3 names, it's way too hippy-dippy-trippy!! Individually, I like them, but as a group, it's insane!! haha
There you go - Hornsapple is your third child!
I personally vote for Hornsapple Holsapple Ramirez.
Maybe Israel hasn't seen this post yet and I can just delete it and carry out the Jeshuga or Hornsapple plan....??? I bet he's just on the other post hitting refresh!
yeah, he never knows what we are actually saing anyway!
Liberty. Interesting.
You know her nick is going to be Berty, right?
NO! Libby, silly. We will call her Libby! Too cute!
I hope it's a girl because I don't like either of the boys names.
Zany Thomas Ramirez - doesn't flow at all. It sounds like Louie L'amour meets Speedy Gonzalez.
Name a kid Leviticus and you are just asking for him to get beatup.
Just because you have weird names doesn't mean you have to similarly afflict your kids.
I like Liberty though.
Who's gonna beat 'em up? Me? The kids from church? The kids from the christian school they will attend?? I don't think so.
Thanks for not dissing Liberty at least. =)
And PMB, no one will be calling her Berty...
Not Zany, it's Zane. Two totally differernt words.
Lol! Zane Grey Gonzales! I like it!
Zane is one of those cliche "Z" names that people use when they are trying to be different. (IMO)
------
It conjures up images of the wild west because of
Zane Grey (January 31, 1872 – October 23, 1939) was an American author best known for his popular adventure novels and stories that presented an idealized image of the rugged Old West. As of June 2007, the Internet Movie Database credits Grey with 110 films, one TV episode, and a series, Dick Powell's Zane Grey Theater based loosely on his novels and short stories.
---
Now Zane is synonymous with African American Erotica. If you don't believe me google "Zane" and see what comes up.
---
It just strikes me as one of those names that is trying too hard to be cool.
Why don't you just call him "Zorro" and be done with it? At least that matches better with the Mexican last name.
Who's gonna beat 'em up?
----
All the Kids that beat Zion up. (ask him)
Zion was HUGE and he got beat up and picked on by the outside world more than all the other brothers put together.
The rest of us never got picked on, we were too busy terrorizing everyone within a ten mile radius...
He could've crushed the people that picked on him if he wanted to. I don't know why he didn't...
Well, I like it because it seems kinda like Zion... and I know I could just name my kid Zion, but then he would be a jr., and I don't think jrs get a fair shot at life.
The reason Zion didn't beat them up is cause he's a nice guy. (Not a terror like the rest of you.)
And, my kids won't be walking a mile to school in 1st grade... that's stupid. My kids won't be spending near the amount of time alone that you guys apparently did... it's not safe, and it's stupid.
My son probably won't even get to live all by himself at 15... even if he has a completely 'safe' name like Gabriel or Miguel...
And yet, they lived to tell the tale, and they are all fine. While I don't want your child to be left alone or have to walk to school, that was a different time. The world used to seem a little safer. Your dad and I had the run of the neighborhood when we were kids, our families never saw us except at mealtimes. We would wander up to about three miles in any direction and not think a thing about it. You do your best with your kids, as we all did our best with ours. :)
In Hillgrove? Gimme a break... I used to have the "run of the town" when I visited Grandma there too. There's like 20 houses around....
Shan,
Here's a different girl's name beginning with Z.
Zondra
and her brother's name is Zayne.
BTW - Zane has the same meaning as John.
Who's gonna beat 'em up?
----
All the Kids that beat Zion up. (ask him)
----
Also, considering they are all adults who are probably in their 30's (or close to it) I doubt they'll be beating up my little kid. ;)
What about Zarah for a girl?
It is Hebrew.
Zane and Zarah are neat together.
Course, you could always name it after Jariah and call it Zariah.
I love the girl name!!! As for the boy name, that's tough. Seeing as I'm rather partial to the name Andrew =), I like the second one better. But I think Leviticus is a bit much; I'd probably just go with Levi, or I really like Landon!
(I guess if you were really wanting to stick with something Biblical, you could go with Leviathan or Levite......;+)
Just my two cents.....
Sarah S.
I def like Landon, and Liberty is cool too!! :)
Leviticus...ummm....well if you have a girl - you could name her Genesis... HAhahaha - sorry, I thought that was funny! :)
How about Shoshannah as a third baby name? That is if you don't stay with the L's and you have another girl.
Kinda neat with part of your name in it.
