My Dad is coming today!!! I am really excited about that! (Not quite so thrilled with the reason he is coming.... to help Jariah drive the truck back to Ohio, but it will still be nice to see him for two days before they all abandon me on Saturday.)

Aaawww, Shanny, please try not to feel abandoned, I know how that feels because that's how we felt when you all decided to move away 2 1/2 years ago, it's terrible. Try to focus on all your blessings until the good Lord allows us to all be together again.
1. Your BABY!! Nothing compares to starting your own family. It will be great!
2. You are all healthy!
3. You are in a nice finished house.
4 It is a BIG house, you have plenty of room.
5. It is paid for? I am assuming, but at least not expensive to live there, not even heat bills!
6. Zion has a good job.

Keep your chin up, kiddo. We all love you, and I'll be out there with you before you know it. :)

Wait wait. People in AZ don't pay heat bills!!??

Thats...unfair.

We should just raise taxes on the 5% of US citizens living in heatwave areas like Tuscon that have discretionary income due to this disparity in heating costs. It'll be great. The other jealous, envious, (possibly bitter) 95% that aren't so fortunate will surely vote for that!

BAUER 08 : Taxing only the lucky, sweaty 5%!

We make up for the heat bill with the AC bill, PMB. But nice try though. =)

Let's say ideal room temp is ~72 deg.

What's it run? 105 deg in Tuscon in June/July?

It's often sub-zero for Ohio in Jan/Feb.

The difference? To live comfortably in the severest Ohio weather requires a temperature delta of 72 degrees.

In Tuscon, that delta is only 33 degrees.

The energy expenditure is going to be much higher to heat a home from 0 deg (Ohio) than to cool it from 105 deg (AZ).

And, it's not like Ohio summers don't require AC too.

So, I still think we need to raise taxes below the 35th parallel to make it "fair".

It's more like 115 deg in summer here, and we do have to use heat in the winter, just not as much. Our blood has been severely thinned by the heat, we have no insulation!! My electric/ heating/cooling bills have been higher out here than they ever were in Ohio!! NO VOTE FOR BAUER!!! HIS PLAN STINKS!!!

Since the polls show that the warm weather tax is proving unpopular, the Bauer campaign now shifts direction and promises to only raise taxes on the top 5% of income earners.
