Mom and Dad's anniversary, 14-point font.

Moving, 18-point font.

I see where your priorities are.

hmmm, it really wasn't like that... I just typed it in as quick as I could and pushed publish!! With mom and Dad's post, I took the time to center it and everything.

Plus, when I just changed it now to larger font, it doesn't line up as well... and I mean, I've only moved like 4 times in my life... and they've had 32 anniversaries!!!!

AWESOME!! Only problem is you guys will be farther away now! Nice though that you'll only have a few minutes drive to church :)

Yeah, Becca and I will even be able to go to church on Wednesday nights!!!! =)

Lemme say this:

What is wrong with you people?

Jeshanah told me that Zion had told us how much he could afford to rent our condo for. (Which he never did.)

So last month I called Zion, told him that we were still looking for renters, told him that Jeshanah had said he had made us an offer, and asked him what that offer was.

Zion said that they had received the raise, but that they were nowhere near able to afford to move out of the Hovel and they were staying there indefinitely.

He then proceeded to tell me about the new Nintendo Wii you guys had just purchased, which made me think, OK, I won't ask again, because it seems they would rather stay in the Hovel and buy stupid video games instead of moving out.

Now this...

Somebody call and tell me what you guys are paying for rent at this new place, because if it is anywhere close to what I would have charged you I am going to be really, really mad...

Not that we are desperate for renters or anything or you are obligated to rent from us, but I would appreciate knowing why Zion said one thing and did another.

That is all...

Uhhh, Becca is pregnant. She is not having a brand new baby in the hole that we currently are in.

Second, we are going to be able to rent 2 separate apartments in a very nice place for the same amount that you wanted for one. So we could either all live together forever in your one condo, or we could use the same money for our own spaces. You do the math.

Third, we all told you what we could afford, and you laughed at us like we were idiots for even suggesting such a meager number. Zion told you that on the phone once and in person once. The magic number was $800, by the way.

We were planning on living in the hovel indefinitely, however, that changed when we found out that Becca is pregnant. Zion did not lie to you.

Also, for the next 6 months, we are all going to be in one apartment that is half the amount that you asked for yours. Zion and I will move into our own a couple weeks before Becca's baby comes, which happens to coincide with the guys next raises.

One more thing, we told you about a thousand times to give us a ballpark figure on how much you would be charging on your home, BEFORE you purchased one, and you never did. We tried to make it clear, that while we appreciated the offer, it wasn't going to work with what you needed for the property.

I for one am VERY glad that our new grandbaby will not be coming home to the hovel. It has been plenty bad enough for poor little Brandon to be stuck there all this time.
When I think of red ants, cockroaches, lizards, neigbors in recliners on their porches and, worst of all, the sweltering heat, well, enough is enough.
You guys have been troopers to stand it as long as you have, but I am extremely happy that you are getting out!

Sharla said...

Go have a life! Even if that means splurging on some dumb video game occasionally! Not that I think that is neccesary or anything, but I am assuming Zion wanted it and Zion paid for it.

--------

We laughed at you?

That there is an out and out lie. Either that or you have a great imagination. (Sorry but it is.)

I don't think you know what you're talking about.

Zion initially told me you guys could afford $1400 a month. Later he talked about less, but this is the first time I have ever heard any reference to anything as low as $800.

Have Zion call me, because I want talk to him. He's the one that knows what he said and when he said it, not any of you. I left a message for him but I think he's scared to call me back.

I need to talk to him about it not you ladies who have no clue what was said.

I'm glad you're moving out, I just think it's interesting that what you are doing is the exact opposite of what Zion said you would do less than a month ago.

Sharla said...

Israel,
Jeshanah DOES NOT LIE.
There is obviously a misunderstanding, but I guarantee you she believed you to be laughing at the amount they could afford.

BeccaHolsapple said...

Obviously, we were not on the phone when Zion talked to you, but $800 is the amount that we all agreed we could afford. And it still is. Until the guys get their raise in January, then the amount will be greater.

When Zion said that we would be staying in the hovel indefinitely, he was saying the truth. Until a month ago, when I found out I am expecting, we had all agreed to stick it out a while longer, even if we don't like it. That obviously all changed when a newborn was added to the picture.

And I may be wrong, but I think the "laughing" was a figure of speech.

Jeshanah said...

Israel, I just wanted to let you know that Zion is still at work. He will be home around 7:30.

We did appreciate you attempting to get us a nicer place to live, but there is just no way that we could possibly afford that.

I'm very sorry if Zion led you to believe that we ever could, maybe when you suggested the $1400 a month, he was too embarrassed to say that that was way too much for us to afford.

Israel said...

Good! Have him call me when he gets in.

The thing is, he's my brother and he has no need to be "embarrassed" to tell me anything. I have changed his diapers.

I don't care if you guys rent the condo or not, but I called him just a few short weeks ago and told him I was still looking to rent it, so the least he could have done is call me and tell me that your plans had changed.

He should have called me.

Well it's not a figure of speech that puts us in a very good light is it?

what time????

Jeshanah said...

I concede that it was a smirk, not a laugh. Basically the same thing, without the sound of laughter.

Sharla said...

Smirks are so easily misinterpreted. One might suppose one to be smirking when perhaps they might just be thinking or about to sneeze. One shouldn't put much stock in a smirk actually.:)

Mona Lisa thinks she's better than the whole world.

Israel said...

Well now she says may have been a smile that insulted her delicate sensibilities.

Apparantly a laugh, a smirk, a smile and a leer are exactly the same thing and are completely open to whatever interpretation you choose to hang on them.

So let's not call it a lie -- lets just call it a HUGE overstatement that doesn't stand up under cross examination.

I can live with that...

Jeshanah said...

We'll call it that if you insist. And we'll call you a very merry man...

I'm gonna go laugh at homeless people, widows and orphans.

I wish I could find some starving people to taunt.

Then after that I'm gonna torture and kill some puppies and some baby birds...

Ahhhhh! All better now!
