OK, I wasn't really dragged, it was my idea, lemme explain.... Sometime in March, my brother Jariah called and said we should all move to Columbus(2 hours away) so the guys could get better jobs. I said that's a great idea, but lets go to Tucson(36 hours away) instead!! (Zion's been wanting to for years.) Everything worked out really fast, so two months later, we were on our way!

Well, it's official. I am a quarter of a century old today.
Different. Some parts were better, some worse. It wasn't as commercialized as the Az Ren Fest. It seemed more authentic. (Of course, the inch of rain we got that morning which turned the place into a mud pit may have added to the experience.)
The jousting at Az was waaaaay cooler than the jousting at the Ohio Ren Fest. Ohio's was lame by comparison. There were only two knights and they made like five passes and neither was was ever de-horsed. No sword play, no blood. Yawn.
The food was about the same: gross. I got pizza instead of a "turkey" leg and got blister-inducing burns (no exaggeration; you should see it) when the cheese slid off of my piece and landed on my hand.

Happy Birthday Shan!!!
Hope you have a great day!!!
Happy birthday, Shanny! Sorry I couldn't post anything yesterday. We were on a field trip to the Ohio Renaissance Festival.
So, John, did you think it was better or worse than the Arizona Renaissance Festival?

Sadly, Tartanic wasn't there. :(
