I have a beautiful baby boy, I'm back in Ohio and my stuff will be here sometime tomorrow, plus! Lost is back!!!! Woohoo!


I will be posting more pictures of Lincoln soon, I'll even throw in some less glamorous shots for you, Israel. I haven't been able to post any from my camera yet because I don't have my laptop with me and I don't have the cord to connect it to anyone else's computer.


For those of you who are wondering... my labor wasn't too terrible (Looking back). Zion and I went into the hospital at 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 14th to be induced. They started the pitosin at 6:40 to speed up the contractions (even though I was already having some, they weren't strong enough to do much!) and broke my water around 8:30. Jess came in to do my hair for me before going to school (around 8)and Mom and Becca came in at about 9. I did get an epidural (3 doses of the stuff overall!) soon after they broke my water.

Zion, Mom, Becca and Jess were with me throughout the labor process (school got cancelled due to the weather so Jess was able to come back) for 5 hours and 40 minutes then when it was time to push, we kicked Jess and Mom out and 40 minutes later, Lincoln was born!! It was a complete shock when Dr. Scott announced announced that the baby had a penis! I thought for sure for 9 months that we were having a girl!!!

Zion, Jariah and Dad should be back this evening and I can't wait for Dad to get to meet his newest grandson. (I'm also rather happy that Zion will get to see him again since he's already changing so much!) It will also be very nice to get all my stuff back! After 3 months of living out of suitcases in hotels, my parents house, the hospital and our new apartment with some old borrowed furniture... I am very excited to have my stuff again!!!

Well, that's all I got for now, sorry if this post doesn't live up to my normal standards... I'm a little tired these days. =) I also need to go eat instead of proofreading this because Linc is asleep right now so this is my chance! (I've already lost 20+ pounds of the weight I had gained... there's just not enough hours in the day for eating for the both of us!!!)

It's a BOY!!!!

Lincoln Andrew Ramirez

He was born at 2:52 pm.
weighing 8lbs and 21 inches long.
He is absolutely adorable and has thick dark hair.
We aren't sure if his skin will be darker or not.

He looks just like Zion!!

WE'RE BAAAACCKKKK!!!!!!

(Shan does a backflip.... very impressive considering I'm days away from having a baby!!!) It's official, we are moving back home to Ohio!!! (Shan claps her hands together with glee!!!)

Zion will be coming in a couple of days and then he and Jariah will be flying back to Tucson on the 19th to pack up the house out there. They will be picking up the moving truck on the 22nd, and most likely starting back home with all our stuff by the 23rd!!

I doubt that many of you will be surprised by this news, the main reason we were out there was Zion's job and the fact that TEP was supposed to be paying for Zion's schooling, once that dissapeared, there didn't seem to be much holding us there. Olga didn't seem too surprised by the news, in fact I think she's probably happy because she and Andy had already told us that when we vacate her house, they plan to remodel it, move in there and start renting out his.

Today I have another Doctor appointment and I should be able to find out when my baby will be born! (He's planning on inducing me at 39 weeks, and my 39th week starts on Saturday!) I'll let you all know the date as soon as I get it. =) The really good news is that means it's entirely possible that Zion will be able to get here a couple days before the baby comes, which would be great!!!

I have to go into the hospital at 5:30 a.m.

and I will be induced!!

Happy New Year!!

It has been a crazy week between Christmas and New Years here in Ohio. We all got sick (VERY SICK) with the flu the day after Christmas for a couple of days. It was awful! My family had been planning a family shower (with aunts and cousins) which we had to postpone because we were all so ill on Saturday. I'm not sure when it will be rescheduled to, but hopefully we won't all come down with that ever again!!!

My Doctor is planning to induce me at 39 weeks so it looks like I'll be a mom in a week and a half! YIKES!!! I'm ready to have this baby out because it's getting to be quite uncomfortable being this big, but I'm still not sure where I'll put the baby once it's here!! Being homeless (or having all of your stuff 2000 miles away... however you want to look at it) when you are this close to having a baby is kinda nerve wracking. Thankfully some of my friends from church are planning a shower for me this Saturday, so maybe I'll have what I need when the baby actually arrives. =)

I went the other night and got my pedicure. It was quite lovely!! My feet feel almost human again. Thank you so much for that, honey! I loved it!! =)
