The people of Tucson are all trying to kill me!!
Seriously! I think they must have been reading this blog and taken great insult from it and are out for revenge! That, or my car is completely invisible and I should be able to sell it to the military for millions...
Nearly every day on the way to or from work, someone cuts me off as if they just don't see that I am practically right beside them, or they have a death wish.
Yesterday at about 5:45 a.m. I was on my way to work when I had the worst "cut off" to date. I was driving down Sunrise, or Ina (or is it called something else in that section of town? Who knows!) passing Campbell. I was in the middle lane behind a white truck as we were coming up to the stop light. The light turned green while we were both still about at full speed, no reason to slow down and pull in behind all the stopped cars in that lane when there was an open lane on the right side, right?! The truck in front of me changed lanes, and I followed him. The truck made it through the intersection just fine, and I was about 3/4ths of the way through when a white SUV decided to change lanes into me. (Which by the way, isn't that ILLEGAL??? You aren't allowed to change lanes in the middle of an intersection, are you?) The SUV wasn't up to speed yet, (and I admit, I was going 6-7 miles over... heh heh) so I had to hit the brakes, hard, to get myself completely stopped to allow the moron driving(if you wanna call it that) the SUV in. I came to a screeching halt and everything in my car flew to the front (including my purse, spilling its contents everywhere, Ugh!)
I'm going to go back in the daylight to see the skid marks, I might even take a pic to put on here. A near death experience, or an everyday occurrence, if you happen to live here in beautiful Tucson, Arizona!!!

There's my "whine-a-minute" daughter! That's my girl! I knew you could do it! Way to find something to complain about even when everything is going great! (I'm so proud.) Israel is right (of course) nothing like a little whining and complaining to lift everyone else's spirits.
Now if we can just get Israel all riled up about politics, we'll have a little entertainment again. He is no doubt an Obama disciple so things are going along just great for him right now too. He probably loves Hillary and agrees with over half of McCain's policies, there are no conservatives to be found anymore, so he will have a hard time finding anything to get riled up about.

Well I read a story about a driver in Ohio who killed an entire family because he decided to drive the wrong way down a freeway and ran head on into a minivan.
Also a guy in Ohio was allowed to have over 20 DUI's before they took his license away. Supposedly this kind of stuff happens all the time in Ohio where people have to be drunk as a skunk just to get through the mind-numbing boredom and depression of another freezing cold day.
So, give me getting cut off in Tucson any day of the week....
Methinks the German-Catholic ancestry of Ohio has more to do with the levels of alcohol consumption than does the weather. I have a good friend whose German immigrant parents would give him beer in a baby bottle when he was only two.
See now we're having fun again!!

The Sad truth about O(High)O
So heavy alcohol consumption from the age of two results in fewer brain cells, fewer brain cells and German ancestry result in a fondness for Republican Totalitarianism and that fondness (coupled with drunk voters) results in a legislature that allows you to get 20 DUIs before you get your license yanked. It also gives us eight years of little Georgie Bush in office.
See how it all makes sense now?

I'm probably going to skip voting this round. There's no point, what with there being no decent candidates. (Or maybe I'll take a page from Bro. Ron Peterson's book and vote for Hillary, in hopes that the world will end sooner with a female in office...) =)

It's called playing in traffic and it's far less painful than voting for Hillary...

I bought a calendar the other day filled with :"Bushisms". It is hysterically funny, I've laughed till I've cried on many pages. He mis-speaks as often as he gets it right.
But just like Israel just said "voter-for" and "...won't be moron like..." that obviously doesn't mean President Bush is stupid. Israel can mis-speak and we all know he is briliant. ;)
as far as voting for Obama goes, I think we are all right there because even though he IS black, he is clean and articulate.

Jury wants life sentence for Ohio ex-cop

CANTON, Ohio - A jury in Ohio has spared a former police officer convicted of killing his pregnant girlfriend and their unborn daughter from the death penalty.
Jurors recommended a sentence of life in prison with the chance of parole after 30 years for Bobby Cutts Jr. A judge will decide on a sentence later Wednesday.
Cutts tearfully testified during his trial that he accidentally killed 26-year-old Jessie Davis with an elbow to the throat during an argument last June, then panicked. Prosecutors said he wanted to avoid child support payments for another child.
He could have faced the death penalty for his conviction on a charge of aggravated murder in the death of the fetus.
Gee, who hasn't panicked and accidentally killed their pregnant girlfriend with an elbow to the throat?

Canton is a predominantly liberal city -- blue-collar union types who almost always vote Democratic.
just for the record you did say Scott Peterson is still sitting on death row right? doesn't that mean he is still alive? so when does the get fried? I also dont understand why they put him in solitary confinement.
and oddly enough ohio has executed twice as many criminals on death row as california has and also has roughly one fifth of the criminals waiting for their turn on death row which would seem to say that ohio doesn't have as many crazy/ violent criminals in our state and if we find them whe kill them faster.
Israel says Ohioans will believe anything....
unless it's Israels typing! =P

The whole Ohio execution thing was a joke by the way. I'm sure you guys execute a bunch of people and I bet you a bunch of them are probably wrongfully convicted by drunken jurors.

It takes a long time to execute people (not just in California) because there is something called an "appeals process," that is utilized to make sure that we don't kill too many innocent people.
California is the most populous state in the Nation, yet we have executed far few people this could mean that:
1) Ohio defense lawyers stink.
2) People from Ohio are more likely to be serial murderers that commit heinous crimes.
3) Living in Ohio is so horrible that criminals purposely commit crimes so that they can be executed and end it all.
4) Drunken Juries
5) Drunken Judges
6) Drunken Lawyers
Speaking of the Canton case...
Israel, you might be interested to know that the jury decided to recommend the life sentence instead of death based on the request of the victim's mother. She testified that she had forgiven him and that she wanted her three-year-old grandson, the victim's child, to know what forgiveness was all about. We're big fans of grace in Ohio.
Yes, you are allowed to change lanes in a intersection as long as it's a safe lane change. People think it's illegal it's not. (One tidbit I learned in traffic school)
